We started off the weekend with a parade at Nathan's school on Friday evening. Then on Saturday, Nathan was a real trooper. Nathan spent the late morning/early afternoon at the Urgent Care getting x-rays and his left wrist wrapped in a splint (it is fractured). But he was finished in the nick of time, so we packed up and headed over to the South Riding Golf Club to line up for the parade.

Andrew's New Tricks
"Hello friends and family, guess what???!?!???
Look at me :) , I can now sit on my own. My parents are a little overprotective, I really don't need this boppy thing to cushion my fall because I don't fall over (at least not that often).
I also like to climb on my big brother. Look out, Nathan!!!!"

Reston Oktoberfest
Although the weather was a bit dreary and the temperature was a bit cool, we ventured out to the Reston Town Center over Columbus Day Weekend to enjoy the Oktoberfest celebration. Dan and Nathan enjoyed a horse drawn hayride, while......
I waited with Mr. Sleeping beauty.
We also enjoyed some yummy brats for lunch and ended the afternoon with the most important part of any "festabull" for Nathan ---- the rides.

Cox Farms Again
My friend from high school, Brandi, was in town from Arizona with her family. So on Friday afternoon, I packed up the boys and we headed over to Cox Farms to meet up with her and husband Tim, and their son, Devon. It was a beautiful afternoon, maybe even a little on the warm side and we all had a great time. Unfortunately though, I was not able to take that many photos. Since Dan was at work, my hands were pretty full with Nathan, Andrew and the stroller. Thanks to Tim, for being such a great sport and taking both boys on most of the slides!

Dulles Plane Pull
After Nathan's soccer class, we headed over to Dulles Airport for the Plane Pull. We had seen the signs for the event for several years, but had never attended. It was a beautiful day and there was lots of things to see and do. There was a car show and lots of aircraft displayed. We also got to see the Runway Snow team and a racecar. Nathan also enjoyed the moonbounces, but his favorite part was riding the shuttle bus through the parking lot.
Ticonderoga Farms
Last Monday, I took the boys over to Ticonderoga Farms. Nathan had fun on the hayride, but his favorite part was running up the hill and sliding down the slides.
Fun with Food
Recently, Andrew seems to show a lot of interest in our food. So we decided to give rice cereal a try. As expected, most of the cereal ended up on his chin and bib, and not in his mouth.
Flash forward approximately 3 years ...... most of the cupcake did make it in Nathan's mouth, but a lot still ended up on his face.
The End of the Season
On Wednesday afternoon, Dan & Nathan and Eric & Emilia headed into DC to cheer on the Nationals for their last home game for the 2009 season. The only thing more exciting to Nathan than the walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth, was discovering just how much he loves Cracker Jacks!
