Andrew is already 2 months old, which is hard to believe. He is a big boy weighing in at 12 1/2 pounds (90th percentile) and measuring 24 inches long (over 75th percentile). During weeks 5 - 8, Andrew became increasingly fussy and gassy (which partially explains my lack of blogging the past couple of weeks). Most evenings, Andrew screamed on and off for several hours and he spent a lot of the days in my arms either feeding or being comforted. It was bringing back very bad memories for Dan and I of Nathan at about the same age. After trying a few different things to ease his obvious discomforts and a trip to the doctor, we decided to try exclusively using the formula we ultimately put Nathan on: Nutramigen (which we also refer to as Liquid Gold and Miracle Milk.) This formula is unbelievable! Within 24 hours, Andrew was like a new baby. The screaming stopped and Dan was shocked to see him hang out in his bouncy seat for 20 minutes straight. We are really glad Andrew is feeling better because it sure made our vacation stay at a hotel much less stressful (more to come on the vacation in another posting).
