Based on a recommendation from the Korsvalls, last night we visited the Living Nativity at Southview Community Church in Herndon. It was a beautiful display of the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.
After our very cold walk through Bethlehem (I'm thinking the real Bethlehem never gets this cold, but to be honest, I have no idea what the weather is like there), we warmed up inside the church listening to Christmas Carols and munching on cookies.
It was another cold, but fun time together. As I am sitting here blogging, Nathan drew this picture:Isn't it precious???? The Baby Jesus is definitely in the middle and I'm thinking Mary is the one on the right?!?!?! :) Nathan's coloring and drawing skills have come a long way in the last few months. To be honest, I would say that it has only been within the last 4 weeks the he has started to draw things that we can actually recognize.

If you are reading this blog, the Living Nativity will also be on display tonight (Saturday, December 4th from 7 - 9 pm), so stop on by if you can. It is well worth your time.
