Last Saturday, we ventured into DC to enjoy some of the tourist attractions. First stop was the National Zoo. Nathan enjoyed watching the Orangutans, but honestly, this stop was a little bit of a disappointment. We've been to a lot of zoos that last 3 years (including Central Park, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado) and we would recommend all of these over the National Zoo. However, we were able to take a few cute photos....
Next stop was the American History Museum. This turned out to be a great place to visit. While Dan and Andrew parked the car (which was a bit challenging), Nathan built a block with Legos that will become part of a very large Lego light bulb.
Then we headed over to the transportation exhibit. This was a huge hit... cars, trucks, buses, trains, and boats. What more could you ask for?!?! Nathan's favorite was "riding" on the subway car. I imagine we'll be back many more times over the next few years.
