Little League Day at the Ballpark

Sunday was Little League Day at Nats Park.  Dan and Nathan headed downtown early for the parade around the field.  Andrew and I joined them a little later for the game.  It was a beautiful afternoon to watch the Nats beat the Twins and to eat ballpark treats!

Celebrate South Riding

South Riding kicked off the summer of 2013 with the annual event, Celebrate South Riding.  It was a fun, HOT afternoon.  After about 2 1/2 hours of rides and shows, we headed home to put on our swimsuits so we could cool off at the pool.  A fun-filled family Saturday in our 'hood!

A Chilly Memorial Day Weekend

We kicked off the summer with a visit to Lake Anna for Memorial Day weekend.  It was quite cool and the water was very chilly, but we still had a fun weekend.  Nathan braved the cold water twice to test the newest addition to the dock.

Matt and Lauren showed off their newest addition.... Otto.
The boys enjoyed tooling around in their new bumper boats.

And one night... we enjoyed many laughs during our Just Dance competition.

A Patriotic Concert

At the end of May, the 1st graders at Liberty Elementary School serenaded family and friends with patriotic songs.  It was so cute!

Adventure Park Outing

After church one weekend in Sunday, we took the boys on a surprise outing to Adventure Park USA.  Nathan loved the GoKarts and Andrew even agreed to ride one with me.   We also enjoyed a game of mini-golf and several other amusement park rides.  But I think what we all enjoyed the most was the Laser-tag, but unfortunately you can't shoot photos when you're shooting the laser gun.  :)

Mother's Day Downtown

For Mother's Day this year, we trekked downtown for brunch at Matchbox Capitol Hill and a stroll around Eastern Market.  It was a beautiful and delicious day!

Awana Awards Night

In early May, Awana came to an end.  Andrew completed his first year of Cubbies and received an award for completing his book.  And Nathan completed his second year of Sparks and also received an aware for completing his entire book.  We are so proud of the boys' hard work this year!  We pray that the lessons and truths that they learned this year about God and His promises will remain in their hearts and guide them in the future.

Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration

Andrew turned 4 this year and we celebrated with family and friends with a fun-filled Dr. Seuss themed party.  Andrew's fractured foot did not slow him down one bit!
