Rainy Weekend in Williamsburg

Well, September may have been a washout in Virginia, but we still managed to squeeze in some fun during our weekend at Williamsburg with Grammy & Pop Pop. Early Friday evening, we stopped by Colonial Williamsburg for just a little bit to walk around and see the Drum & Fife demonstration. The boys were not a big fan of the loud guns and cannons, especially Nathan. After dinner, we drove down to Great Wolf Lodge to check it out. We all enjoyed a treat from their sweet shop and the boys had fun in the arcade. The indoor water park looked really cool. We look forward to staying here sometime in the future so we can splash around.Saturday turned out to be a really soggy day, but in between down pours, we managed to have some fun geo-caching. Here's a photo of Nathan & Pop Pop opening the canister from our find near Colonial Williamsburg.
We couldn't find the canister at another location, but we did find this really cool bridge near the College of William & Mary.On Sunday, we spent the day at Busch Gardens. It was a dreary, misty day, but we still had a ton of fun exploring the whole park. Andrew, of course, LOVED the Sesame Street section. He was so excited and animated to see all the characters.
We also had lots of fun in the other area of the parks. Andrew was nervous on a few rides, but LOVED the mini bumper cars. Nathan was a little disappointed that the Big Bad Wolf roller coaster was gone. So the "tamest" roller coaster seemed to be the Loch Ness Monster which goes upside down 2 times. Nathan LOVED it and Dan road it with him like 4 or 5 times!!
