Vacation Part 2: Busch Gardens

After Virginia Beach, we headed to Busch Gardens for the day. We were hoping to get there when it opened, but there was an accident in the Hampton Tunnel, so we had to take a detour. Thanks to technology (i.e., the GPS and the DVD player) we made it to the park an hour later than expected and the ride was still relatively peaceful.

Our first stop at the park was the new Sesame Street section. It has lots of fun things to entertain the preschoolers. Nathan's favorite ride there was the roller coaster. He rode it 4 times! He couldn't stop talking about the roller coaster and wanted to ride more roller coasters. When we saw that he was tall enough to ride the Big Bad Wolf, we thought why not. We didn't remember it to be that rough of a ride. Well, we have to admit we were wrong and exercised a serious error in judgment in allowing him to ride it. But he survived the ride and surprisingly did not shed any tears. However, Nathan will tell you that is was a "rough ride" and that he needs to ride it when he gets bigger.
