Vacation Part 3: Lake Anna

After a full day at Busch Gardens, we drove to Lake Anna to spend the 4th of July Weekend with Grammy and Pop-Pop. Unfortunately, Uncle Matt and Aunt Victoria were not able to join us this year as they were (and still are) travelling in Europe for four weeks (boo hoo for them, right?). So we invited the Korsvalls to spend the weekend with us.It was a pretty quiet weekend just lounging at the lake. But the weather was absolutely perfect... low humidity and not too hot. If only all Julys in Virginia were like this. Nathan and Emilia had a great time swimming and floating in the lake. We are amazed at how much more comfortable Nathan is with the water this year. The kids also got to ride the big boat and little boat. Nathan also took his first spin on Big Mable with his Daddy (a big float that gets pulled behind the boat). Pop Pop is a good driver, so the ride was very safe.Andrew enjoyed the swing and many naps down on the dock.We also enjoyed making S'mores at the new fire pit that Uncle Matt and Pop Pop built earlier this summer. It was hard work for them, but it will provide lots of yummy fun for years to come!

As I was working on this posting and looking for pictures, I realized I did not have that many because we used the video camera a lot that weekend. Perhaps sometime soon I'll post a video on the blog for you to enjoy?!?!? In the meantime, you can check out more photos of the weekend on the Korsvalls blog at www.korsvalladventures.blogspot.com.
